Terms of Use

Effective 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the CashMitra app. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use CashMitra.

1. What CashMitra is

CashMitra helps you record what you spend and receive, track money lent and borrowed, and split costs with friends. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not hold, move or transfer money, is not a bank or payment service, and does not give financial, tax or legal advice.

2. Your account

3. Your data

You own what you enter. You allow us to store and process it only to run the app, as described in the Privacy Policy. Balances, totals and suggestions (including those made from bank alerts) are based on what you and your group members enter and may contain mistakes; please check them before relying on them.

4. Split groups

Expenses and settlements you add to a group are shown to all its members. Only add people who agreed to be in the group, and record amounts honestly. CashMitra does not enforce or collect any debt between users.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use CashMitra to break the law, harass others, attempt to access other users' data, interfere with the service, or click on ads in bad faith. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Ads

The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob, unless you have Premium. Ads are provided by third parties; we are not responsible for their content or for products you buy through them.

7. CashMitra Premium

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep CashMitra running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the app means you accept the update.

9. Liability

CashMitra is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including financial decisions made using its figures or data lost because of device or service failures.
